Help researchers understand
the mesothelioma caregiver experience!
The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation is seeking participants for a study focused on understanding the experiences and challenges of caregivers of mesothelioma patients.
The study, which is led by researchers at Michigan State University, will first conduct individual interviews and focus groups with caregivers of mesothelioma patients, with patients, and with those who have previously cared for a mesothelioma patient who has since passed away. Later, it will also conduct online support groups for current or former caregivers. The study is currently enrolling participants for the interview phase.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN INTERVIEWS:
- Caregivers of mesothelioma patients
- Mesothelioma patients
- Former caregivers of mesothelioma patients
WHAT CAN PARTICIPANTS EXPECT:
In this first part of the study, Michigan State University researchers will conduct 1-hour virtual interviews individually with each participant.
A $25 gift card will be provided to each participant who completes the interview.
This study is funded by the Department of Defense’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program.
