Light the World Blue for Mesothelioma Awareness

The campaign to Light the World Blue to raise mesothelioma awareness began in 2020 when our sponsor, Novocure, led the charge and received commitments from nearly 15 localities. Each year since, they’ve increased their reach with over 40 locations lighting blue last year on September 26.

Help us turn blue at least one location in each one of the 50 states!

This year, we are once again partnering with Novocure, who has already begun the process of obtaining commitments. Take a look below at participating locations. If your state is not listed, please help us identify a landmark with color-changing capabilities and either let us know about it, or request it yourself. Doing so is easy. Typically, websites for landmarks have a submission form specifically to make such a request.

Action Items:

  1. Identify landmarks near you that have lighting capabilities and check their website or contact their office in order to see if they take lighting requests;
  2. Ask for their landmark/building to be lit up blue on September 26th for Mesothelioma Awareness Day (if asked on the form for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization sponsoring it, please mention the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation and use our website curemeso.org). Contact us if you need help filling out the form;
  3. Reach out to Foundation at [email protected] to tell us the status of your application (submitted, confirmed, denied).
