At the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, we are guided by the three core pillars that define our purpose: funding groundbreaking research, providing essential treatment support and education, and advocating for federal funding of research. It is through the support of compassionate donors like you that we are able to fulfill these vital objectives and make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating cancer.
When you make a gift to the Foundation, unless specified otherwise, that contribution is used generally to fund the programs in place that drive our mission. The International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma, MesoTV, support groups for the meso community, and advocacy initiatives taking place year-round are a few of those programs. Your unrestricted giving enables us to continue our critical work on behalf of the mesothelioma community.
While these all-purpose donations drive our overarching mission, we also recognize the importance of opportunities for restricted giving, which allows donors like you to direct your support to specific programs that align with your passions and priorities. Patient Travel Grant
This program provides essential financial assistance to mesothelioma patients and their caregivers who must travel for initial consultations or clinical trial treatments. Your support ensures that families facing the burden of travel expenses can focus on what matters most—accessing life-saving treatments and quality care.
The Bret A. Rosenthal Patient Assistance Fund
This newly established assistance fund will help patients and caregivers with things like fertility costs, mental health services, and additional caregiver support. Research Grant
