On September 26, 2016, Meso Foundation volunteers and mesothelioma community members came out in force to raise awareness for Mesothelioma Awareness Day. We asked the community to wear blue to show their support, and they went above and beyond the call. We received over 100 photos (and even more were posted online) from mesothelioma patients, caregivers, family members, friends, coworkers, classmates, and more, all dressed in blue to raise awareness and show support for the Meso Foundation’s mission to eradicate mesothelioma. Below, see a preview of the photos we received and click here to view the entire album on our Facebook page.
In addition to wearing blue, the mesothelioma community helped us raise awareness by posting on social media and sharing posts from our page with their network of friends and family. In New York, Meso Foundation volunteers gathered at Rockefeller Plaza to raise awareness at the Today Show. Throughout the country, community members hosted fundraising events to support the Meso Foundation, and many attended those fundraising events.
Thank you to all who participated in Mesothelioma Awareness Day 2016!
