We share today the news that Diane Blackburn-Zambetti, our director of asbestos and prevention education, has left her position at the Meso Foundation.
Although she will no longer be a part of our staff, Diane’s work with the Meso Foundation is not ending. She will continue to work with us, through her own company, Blackburn Occupational Health Specialist.
Through this newly founded company, Diane is planning to broaden her education services to cover all environmental exposures regardless of the cancer/disease they cause, so she will continue to serve as a resource for the Meso Foundation for mesothelioma and asbestos education.
During her time here, Diane helped the Meso Foundation launch its prevention program and advance the resources available in regards to asbestos exposure safety and education.
“We are so grateful for the work that Diane has accomplished at the Meso Foundation, and we look forward to continuing our relationship as she continues her work,” said Melinda Kotzian, the chief executive officer at the Meso Foundation. “We wish her the best in her new endeavors.”
While we are sad to see her go, we are enthusiastic about the work we can continue to accomplish in asbestos and prevention at the Meso Foundation.
