We’re excited to announce that we have kicked off our annual fund drive, also known as the annual appeal, with a letter outlining the Meso Foundation’s accomplishments since its inception.
During the week of Thanksgiving, we launched our annual appeal to raise funds for our research, education, support, and advocacy efforts. The campaign is held every year-end and usually raises approximately 10% of the Meso Foundation’s annual funding.
The Meso Foundation holds the highest rating from Charity Navigator, is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and is a 2015 Top Rated Nonprofit by the GreatNonprofits group. More accreditations can be found by visiting www.curemeso.org/accreditations.
Among our accomplishments, we list well over 94 projects funded, amounting to over 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals and $9 million in funding. The dollar amount more than doubles to nearly $20 million when taking into consideration the $10.3 million in funding to mesothelioma from the Department of Defense, which is a direct result of Meso Foundation advocacy work.
The full annual appeal letter, which also covers the Foundation’s work in education and patient support services, as well as prevention, can be read here.
The Meso Foundation is a fiscally-responsible organization spending 86 cents of every dollar on our programs. Donations can be made at www.curemeso.org/savelives.
